Millennium® Methodology
The development of a new information system is a wide scope project which includes technologies requiring inevitable changes within the business processes of a company. To give its customers adequate professional support in projects of this nature, SIA has enriched its structure with professionals such as analysts, programmers, consultants and project managers, all with great experience within the insurance industry.
Furthermore, to increase the efficiency of this team, SIA has created a new methodological approach, the Millennium® Methodology, through which our customers are supported, step by step, during the design, implementation and release phases of their new information systems.
Particularly innovative within the Millennium® Methodology is the project launch phase during which SIA's consultants and specialists, together with the Project Manager who will follow the customer during each task required to implement the solution, work in conjunction with the customer's own personnel (users and IT Specialists), in order to define: The System Design, the Customizations to be developed in order to make SIA's products operate at customer sites, the Structure Of The Work Team, the Workplan this initial phase includes three strictly related steps:
Fast Analysis is a macro-analysis of the customer's environment (its organization, market area and information system);
Workshop is a series of meetings between the customer's users and IT specialists and SIA's own team, during which specifics of the Millenniumr solution are discussed and required customizations evaluated to have SIA's products perform the typical business operations within the customer's environment.
Workshop Output: is a summary of the workshop activities at the end of which SIA delivers to its customers:
- The Technical Specifications Sheet, a document summarizing the findings pointed out during the workshops and describing the High Level System Design
- The Workplan, which describes all tasks which must take place to launch the Millenniumr Solution (this plan will be further refined and detailed at the actual launch and during the life of the project) Organization chart of the work team which is part of the project
Aside from the above-mentioned services and those traditionally offered by software firms, such as analysis and programming, maintenance, technical support and rollout of networks of agencies, SIA offers its customers the option to use the Millennium® Suite products in ASP mode, by connecting to SIA's network of servers installed at our headquarters in Bassano and Milan. This option allows our customers to use SIA's products without having to acquire the technological infrastructure required for their operation, and furthermore, minimizing the customer's own IT staff.
